Nice day!

Whoa, did I forget another blog?!  That makes two that I missed this past week … must be getting senile or something!  Anyway .. good morning, peeps!  It’s another gorgeous Sunday morning here in the valley and we’re all just relaxing and doing nothing.  The puppies were quiet early on, but now they’re doing their version of the 100 yard dash around the house … damn mutts!  I’d love to just cruise all day but ManoaDNA is performing this afternoon out at Lanikahonua for a wedding.  If you’ve never been out to there, it’s right next to the Ko Olina resort out on the west side of O’ahu.

We had our last 2010 performance at Lulu’s Friday night since we have special events and performances for the rest of the year.  We also have one more performance at Kani Ka Pila Grille on Dec. 11th, where we’ll be holding our annual MDNA Toy Drive benefit for Toys for Tots and the Lokahi Tree.  I hope you’ll be able to make it down and mahalo in advance for your support!

I wish to send a very big mahalo to everyone who came to see us at Lulu’s and Kani Ka Pila, especially Kiyoko and Kiyoko (yes, they both have the same names) who came with all their friends and brought wonderful omiyage for me & my boys!  Please enjoy the rest of your visit and we’ll see you in Japan next year!  I also want to thank all of our family and friends who came down to see us .. Shion, Sae, Sarah, Dan, Linda, Junko, Mayumi, Yoshiko, Kanako, Mie, Malia, David, Kanani, Roy, Pat and her Roosevelt classmates, and the many others who were there.  Thank you for all your support!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot … the other night I was enjoying one of Side Street Inn’s famous pork chop and accidentally bit into the bone.  I heard a small pop and immediately realized that I had chipped my front tooth!  Actually, I had chipped it many years ago when Carla & I were in a moped accident but that’s a whole ‘nother story!  Anyway, since I couldn’t get it fixed until Saturday morning, I played at Lulu’s on Friday looking like one of the main characters from the movie “Dumb & Dumber”!  Whenever someone would take a photo, I had to cover my mouth or smile tight-lipped …

Aloha, “D”
