STILL raining!

Aloha, peeps!  Man, I can’t believe this weather!  It’s Saturday and it’s been raining for 6 straight days without a break!  Don’t get me wrong … I love rain and it truly is a blessing but this much at one time is way over the top!  Last night we performed at the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s fundraiser down at the Honolulu Hale where it pretty much rained throughout the whole evening.  But even the wet weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of all the volunteers and supporters, and we all had a good (if slightly damp) time.  It was great to see Eric Lee & Rodney Bilger again, along with our pals Melveen Leed and Maunalua.  I’d also like to send a big mahalo out to MDA coordinator Leslie Uptain for a job well done!

After we played at the fundraiser, Mark, Alex, and I, went to grab a bite to eat at Paesano’s in Manoa.  I ordered linguini with white clam sauce, Alex order the clams casino, and Mark had the veal marsala.  Along with our dinners, Alex and I each had a glass of my favorite Domaine Napa cabernet – a perfect way to end a great evening!  And as we left Paesano’s the rain started yet again … sigh!

We’ll be at Kani Ka Pila tonight (if we don’t get rained out!), and then we’ll be guest judges at KZOO’s 30th Anniversary Karaoke Finals over at the Sheraton Waikiki on Sunday.  Looks like another long weekend ….

Aloha, “D”
