Howzit, everybody … hope y’all are having a great week! Besides the usual meetings, this week has been pretty normal although I’m not quite sure what normal is these days. Yesterday, we did a recording for Hawaiian Airlines’ (they don’t like to be called “Hawaiian Air” anymore) in-flight audio entertainment program over at Pacific Music Productions with Max Ebersbach. It reminded me of when we used to do a weekly radio show for Radio I in Nagoya, Japan a few years ago … it was such a blast! Nick and Alex are hilarious, especially when they get on a roll … what a pair! The show will air during the months of April & May on all of Hawaiian’s transpacific flights …
I’m supposed to have my weekly golf outing with the degenerates this afternoon, but instead will be heading to the other side of the island for some “business” golf instead. I sure hope I don’t embarrass myself … again! And tomorrow I’ll be golfing with our good friends, the Taguchis, over at Waialae. We first met the Taguchis back in 2005 when ManoaDNA just formed, and they’ve been a part of our ohana ever since. They’re always so kind to us whenever we’re in Japan … really wonderful people.
We’re back at Lulu’s this Friday, Kani Ka Pila on Saturday, and will also be performing at the Ukulele Picnic on Sunday. This event will be at the Kaka’ako Waterfront Park and is free to the public. We’ll be performing around 3pm so hope to see you all there!
Aloha, “D”
