Hey everyone, before I get into last week, I just want to say one final thank you to everyone who has supported our toy drive this year. Tonight’s event (rain or shine, hail or wind, tsunami or hurricane) will be a great event and benefit MANY people in need. Even if you are only reading this blog, you are still supporting our cause, and I thank you for that VERY MUCH! Now, onto the week that was…
And what a week it was! The biggest story from the week was the passing of Senator Dan Inouye. He and my Grandpa served together in the famous 442nd Regimental Combat team during World War II, and were really good friends up until the day my Grandpa passed away. With Dan’s passing, it really made me miss my Grandpa, but I know he’s happy to be reunited with his friend.
As for the performance side, first we started out with a couple of gigs on Friday, ending with a really awesome party thrown by the First Hawaiian Bank managers. Here is a picture I snapped from the top floor of the First Hawaiian Bank, right after sunset downtown.
Besides performing during the week, I also hosted my annual Christmas party with some of my friends. The picture below is from my friend Marc who made M&M shaped cookies! It was so perfect!
And yesterday, Alx came onto the HI*Sessions set to shoot some upcoming segments for the show. It’ll probably air sometime in early 2013, so stay tuned at HISESSIONS.com for all the details.
Hopefully, you’ve been following me on Twitter & Instagram to see all the updates from the week. The pictures above are the ones that I didn’t post there, but there are tons more on my accounts, so check it out!
Hope to see you down at Gordon Biersch tonight! Please, if you have an extra prayer, pray for NO RAIN! We don’t want to have a mini-hurricane blow through our toy drive like last year!
