Aloha, my peeps! This week is flying by … I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, although I have to admit that the last few days have been pretty hectic for me! We’re seeing more and more visitors coming to experience our IOLANI store … locals and visitors alike, and I can’t begin to tell you how much fun it is to share our ohana with all of you! Everything from our classic ‘IOLANI garments to our exclusive Kaua’i Kookies assortments all reflect our family history and love for our island home. I hope to see you all soon ….
Our good friends, Eddie & Myrna Kamae, also dropped by IOLANI to visit and say “hi” …
they just finished Eddie’s 10th film documentary, “Those Who Came Before”. The Kamaes have been good friends of ours for decades, and my dad and Eddie were very close. If you have a chance to see Eddie’s latest film, please don’t miss it – it’s one of his best and pays tribute to all the great kupuna who helped Eddie become what he is today!
Before our rehearsal last night, Alex cooked everyone some chicken risotto … this was his first attempt and it actually turned out pretty good! After topping off the meal with a few chocolate chip cookies from Trader Joe’s, I was truly a happy camper and ended up hitting the sack early – finally!
