Vog hell!

‘Morning, all.

This latest vog attack is one of the worst ever and it doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon.  It’s warm and humid outside and you can barely see the mountains through all the haze.  My throat and nose are pretty irritated and I’m sure people with respiratory problems are really suffering!  The strangest thing is that whenever the vog appears, we get a lot of flies in our house … guess those little suckers can’t stand the vog either!  In any case, I’ve been on a fly rampage since yesterday .. must’ve killed at least 20 of those buggers and there’s still a bunch of ’em flying around!  I don’t know how they’re coming in, but there’s sure a lot of ’em!

Since today’s schedule is pretty light, I’m going to try and catch up on that pile of paperwork on my desk.  I have to finish as much as I can today, though, because my schedule for the rest of the week is PACKED!  December is the busy holiday month so we have lots going on at both ‘IOLANI and ManoaDNA.  I want to invite you all to come down to ‘IOLANI on KONA ST. – we have lots of exclusive new gift items at that you won’t find anywhere else, including beautiful handmade Christmas holiday pins & ornaments by Wayne Harada.  Shop at your leisure and avoid the shopping center crowds and parking!  And what makes it even more perfect is that we’re located right next to the Ala Moana Shopping Center!

Be sure to save Friday, Dec. 21st, for our 4th Annual “Boys & Their Toys” Toy Drive benefiting Toys for Tots down at Gordon Biersch in the Aloha Tower Marketplace.  It’ll be from 6 to 9pm and will feature lots of great entertainment and giveaways including round trip tickets on Hawaiian Airlines.  So I hope to see you all there!

Aloha, “D”
