“Gentlemen, start your engines!!”  That famous phrase from the Indianapolis 500 definitely applies to today, Black Friday – the official start of the holiday shopping season.  Retailers everywhere are bracing for the onslaught of shoppers looking for Christmas gift bargains, and it would be wise to stay away from all the shopping malls today.  That being said, yours truly earlier this week scheduled an 8:30am breakfast meeting down at Ward Center … what an idiot!!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.  We had a nice family gathering in Manoa and like every year, everyone walked out stuffed to the max.  Alex & Nick deep fried a turkey which was awesome while the others brought tons of side dishes and desserts, including my favorite chocolate pie which the Sarah always makes for me.  I think they should call the holiday season, “The Great Pig Out”, because that’s really what it’s all about … eat, eat, eat, and party, party, party!!  Good luck in trying to get any work done …

ManoaDNA is taking a well-deserved break this weekend before we start a very busy holiday schedule.  I want to thank all of our friends who came to see us at THE SWIM on Wednesday … it was a really fun evening and the place was PACKED!!

Aloha, “D”
