Mahalo, Yokohama!

Aloha, peeps!

We left Osaka early yesterday morning and made a stop in Yokohama where we did a couple of brief performances at the World Porter shopping mall in Minato Mirai. I always enjoy going back to Minato Mirai … the Minato Mirai Concert Hall was the first place that MDNA performed when we came to Japan back in the Spring of 2006. Anyway, many of our wonderful fans turned out to welcome us yesterday and we’ll see many of them in Shibuya tomorrow night for our final concert. This has been an awesome tour … a big MAHALO! to Hawaiian Airlines, Reiko, Kazu, and all their staff for making this Fall Tour a reality and a wonderful experience for everyone! Believe me, this was not an easy task … it took a lot of hard work and effort to pull it off, and my hat’s off to Taguchi-san, Miyazaki-san, and the many sound and stage technicians who made each performance a memorable one!

And so, today is a free day for us … depending on how you look at it. We’re going to Yokohama to join our good friends, the Taguchis, for lunch before heading over to Fujisawa to see Kamalei perform … then I head back to Yokohama for an ‘IOLANI dinner meeting, and afterward try to meet up with the boys wherever they are! Whew!

Aloha, “D”
