Wow, Hurricane Sandy is totally devastating the East coast … reports of massive flooding and power outages including 16 people dead so far. The damage done by this super storm is unprecedented and it ain’t over yet. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone over there … hang in there, guys! It’ll be interesting to see what sort of impact this storm will have … call me a pessimist, but I’ll bet the politicians and corporations have already figured out a way to use this tragedy for political and economic gain.
Ok, happy thoughts … hey, tomorrow’s Halloween! I hope we have enough candy because last year our neighborhood got totally overrun by monsters, ghosts, zombies, super heroes, witches, etc. … including some without costumes (cheap bastards!). I love seeing the little kids .. they’re so cute in their costumes and always have that “look” as you put candy into their bag … that “wow, free candy!” look. And if it’s like most Halloweens, there’ll probably be some rain so bring an umbrella …
ManoaDNA is off this week as we prepare for our upcoming performances next week in Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. I got up early this morning (4am) thinking about stuff I need to do before we leave and wishing we had another couple of weeks to get ready … oh well, it’s showtime!
Aloha, “D”
