‘Morning, everyone!

Man, my blogs have been becoming fewer and fewer as each week passes!  I really apologize … I usually try to update my blog every other day or so, but we’ve been so busy since we got back last week that I just haven’t had time to do it.  So immediately after our return, we resumed preparations for our upcoming “MANOADNA MEETS OHANA” Fall tour presented by Hawaiian Airlines which include performances in Sapporo (11/6), Nagoya (11/8), Osaka (11/9), and Tokyo (11/12).  I’m so excited because this will be our very first all-ManoaDNA production and will showcase all of our music including a couple of surprises, one of which will be the debut our new mini CD “SWEET EMBRACE” which features several of Alex’s brand new compositions including my favorite, “OVER NOW”.  We’re also very fortunate to have Hawaiian Airlines as our presenting sponsor for this tour thanks to our friends over at Studio Rim Hawai’i … mahalo, Reiko!  And the most amazing thing about this journey is how the promoters were able to put it all together in such a short time (3 mos.)!  Normally, a project such as this requires anywhere from 9 months to a year to plan & organize … very impressive!

We returned to a great homecoming at both Lulu’s & Kani Ka Pila Grille this past weekend.  I had heard that tourism in Waikiki was a bit slow recently but you sure wouldn’t know it based on the crowds at both venues.  Want to thank all of our friends, family, and many new fans who turned out to welcome us home.  It was great to see KP again (stay well, my friend!), who dropped in with his pal Leighton Tseu, who turned out to be Aureana’s father!  We’d worked with Aureana on many HTJ promotions during the past several years and were with her in Kyushu last week where we teamed up to perform at the Ureshino Hula Festival.  Talk about a small world …

Aloha, “D”
