Good morning, peeps!  After a great night’s sleep I’m ready to go … slept almost 9 hours last night and feeling great!  Have experienced only minimal jet lag so far, but the next couple of days will tell whether I’ve managed to dodge the monster again.  I sure hope it’s true because the next 3 weeks are going to be really hectic for me and the boys.  Not only are there lots of exciting things happening at ‘IOLANI but ManoaDNA is back in the studio trying to finish up CD #4 before leaving for its Nov. Fall Tour to Japan.  We’ll be performing at JASMAC in Sapporo on Nov. 6th, the BLUE NOTE in Nagoya on Nov. 8th, the amHall in Osaka on Nov. 9th, with our final performance at the MT. RAINIER HALL in Shibuya on Nov. 12th.  It’s going to be a great evening of fun & music so I personally want to invite all of you to come down and join us!

Here are some pics from our trip … this first one was taken in my hotel room – the futon bed is made up every night and then put away during the day.  After the first night, however, I had to add about 4 more layers of padding because my back and hips were killing me!  The second photo was taken at the venue which was a new sports complex in Ureshino City … really nice facility in a beautiful location!  Ureshino was a very special place for all of us and we look forward to going back there soon!

Aloha, “D”
