Hazzit, everybody! The awful vog and humidity is still hanging around but the trades should be coming back sometime today according to Guy, our TV weather guy (who usually is wrong, by the way). Spent most of yesterday in the studio with the boys recording tracks for our new CD “SWEET EMBRACE” which we hope to finish by the time we leave for Japan in November. By the way, we’ll be performing in Sapporo (11/6), Nagoya (11/8), Osaka (11/9), and Tokyo (11/12) and plan to debut the new CD there, so I hope all of our fans in Japan will come out and celebrate with us!
I have one meeting this morning before running some errands, then it’s back in the studio to work on the CD. Our pal, retired music professor Byron Yasui is coming over to help us with some arrangements so it should be a fun and educational session. This guy is one of the finest musicians in Hawai’i but claims to be a so-so golfer with a 22 handicap … abunai!!! Hahaha! After we’re done, I have to start packing for our trip to Ureshino City this week where we’ll be performing for the city’s celebration event along with Raiatea and Aureana. It’s been a while since we last performed with Aureana for HTJ, but I’m sure everything will go smoothly … just like riding a bike.
And with that, I’ll sign off … take care!
Aloha, “D”
