Ryder Cup Sunday

Just finished watching the U.S. team choke badly, losing the Ryder Cup to the Europeans on the final day.  Spent all morning watching that and NFL football on what’s turning out to be another lazy Sunday.  Weather’s been kinda weird too … sort of overcast and still with some humidity.  I’m going to take it slow today since my knee is sore after a speaker fell on it while we were unloading equipment last night.  I think it’s just a strain so it should be ok …

Had another fun weekend at Lulu’s and Kani Ka Pila Grille … great crowd and energy!  As always, many of our fans from Japan came to see us at both venues including our friends Tetsu, Kyoko, Noriko, and her mom.  We also met Makiko and her friends from Miyazaki, Japan who joined in to entertain the crowd with a couple of hula.  It was also great to see Tony and his group from Australia again – Tony was the one who got up to dance last week even though he was still on crutches – what a free spirit!  And like last week, we had a bunch of people up and dancing at the end of our final set to cap off another great evening of music and merriment!  Mahalo, everyone!

ManoaDNA will not be at Lulu’s and KKPG this week and next since we’ll be on the road.  AK & the Leftys will be at Lulu’s this Friday, however, so be sure to go down and check ’em out.  MDNA will be in Japan the following week to do some special performances in Ureshino City in Kyushu.  This will be our first visit there and I’ve heard that the area is famous for its onsen or hot springs … should be fun!

Aloha, “D”
