Aloha, all … hope you guys are having a good week.  We performed over at the SWIM in the Hyatt Waikiki last night … it was our first gig since the boys got back.  In fact, Alex just flew in from Japan the day before so he was pretty wiped out.  We had a great crowd … probably the best I’ve seen at the SWIM since we started.  It’s great to be performing again because I’ve been having some really stressful days lately.  Yesterday was no exception … first, got a call at 5:30am because the fire alarm warning went off in our office which was probably due to a faulty control box.  After that was resolved, we got another call about an hour later saying that the restroom area and foyer smelled like s–t.  Later found out that it was because the drain pipe leading from the men’s restroom to the sewer was “stagnating” due to non-use thereby causing the smell.  Luckily, we were able to get rid of most of the smell by the time the store opened.  And this all happened before I got to the office!  And since things usually happen in threes, shortly after I get to the office the computer server crashes.  Boy, I sure hope there’s some light at the end of this tunnel …

ManoaDNA is headed back to Japan in October and November.  In October we head for Ureshino City in Kyushu for a celebration event, and in November we’re doing a special Fall tour which includes stops in Sapporo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.  And could there also be a new recording coming out sometime soon?  Stay tuned and find out …

Aloha, “D”
