Winter in June?!!

Man, it’s been like winter up here in the valley and it’s almost July!  We’ve had a lot of rain and wind the last couple of days, and it was actually a bit chilly the other morning!  All that nuclear testing and stuff are now coming back to haunt us, I guess …

We performed at the Star-Advertiser’s “Hawai’i’s Best” award reception at the Kahala last night, and I want to send a big MAHALO! out to Dennis Francis and his group for including us in this great event!  Lani Misalucha performed before us and boy, that girl can SING … and her band ain’t too shabby either comprised of some of Hawai’i’s best musicians.  She has a regular show down at the Magic of Polynesia showroom that people tell me is pretty awesome so I gotta go check her out …

Tonight we’re performing at a corporate event for a large Japan insurance company.  They must be pretty big because we’re doing two performances – one tonight and the other next Tuesday for two different groups!  Looking forward to it because these events are always a lot of fun and it’s great to see the people relax and enjoy themselves.  The only downside is that I won’t be able to golf with my Thursday degenerates because sound check is in the early afternoon … bummer!

Aloha, “D”
