Back to warp speed ….

Aloha, peeps …

Yesterday was one of those days when everything hit the fan all at once.  There was stuff for ManoaDNA and IOLANI coming at us from all directions … it was chaos at its best!  It did turn out to be a real productive day in the end, but we were all pretty burned out.  I was looking forward to a quiet meal at Paesano’s in Manoa to decompress, but for some reason they were closed when I got there.  I ended up getting take-out at GRYLT which was just as good – grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp, along with homemade mash potatoes, and grilled Romaine lettuce salad.  What a delicious way to end an insanely busy day …

We have another very busy week of music starting with a performance tonight at the StarAdvertiser’s “Hawai’i’s Best” reception at the Kahala Hotel.  Then tomorrow we’ll be on stage at the Sheraton Waikiki for a large Japan corporate gathering, on Friday we’ll be back at Lulu’s, and on Saturday we wind up the week at yet another special event.  This is the time of year when things really start to heat up for us with travel, corporate events, summer concerts, graduations, and other events filling up an already busy schedule.  Oh, and did I forget to mention that we also plan to go back into the studio to begin work on our long-overdue CD #4?  Yup, it’s going to be a busy summer, folks … but I have a sneaking hunch that the Fall is going to be even crazier!

Aloha, “D”
