Yokohama

Good morning, all!

Things have been so hectic that I haven’t been able to keep up with my blog … sorry! Anyway, our last performance in Hiroshima was at the Hiroshima Carp vs. Seibu Lions baseball and the coolest part was seeing ourselves on the huge TV screen in centerfield! After we were done, we watched the rest of the game from one of the luxury suites overlooking the field … now THAT’S the way to watch a baseball game! We had such a great time in Hiroshima and I want to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome!

The next morning we took the Shinkansen to Yokohama where we have a couple of performances before heading to Tokyo, and then home. During our sound check at Thumbs Up, the lighting fixture hanging in the center of the room started to swing back and forth – turned out to be a small earthquake which lasted about a couple of minutes. It felt like being on the rolling deck of a ship which brought back memories of playing on the catamarans back in the old days. Anyway, our performance last night went well, and afterward we all headed straight back to our hotel since Mark and Alex were not feeling very well.

I have a lunch meeting today for IOLANI and then we’re going to have some shabu-shabu with our friends, the Taguchis, who also met us at the train staion to help us get to our hotel. Mahalo, you guys!

Aloha, “D”
