Yay, it’s Friday! Alooooha, everyone!
Hope you all are ready for another great weekend! I actually have a nice, relaxing one since ManoaDNA has only one performance at Kani Ka Pila Grille tomorrow night. And since MDNA is off tonight, I’m going down to Lulu’s to watch ALX & the Leftys (Alex, Mark, and Seann) do their “thang”. If you haven’t seen them yet, you should because they’re really good and it’ll give you a chance to see Alex’s musical versatility outside of ManoaDNA. Very cool stuff …
Had a pretty mediocre day at Waialae yesterday … luckily, my degenerate buddies were also struggling so we all kind of broke even with each other. To give you an idea of how badly we played, our high handicapper won low net with a 74! That’s pretty bad! Don’t know if you saw yesterday’s news, but a member was killed and another seriously injured when their golf cart fell into the drainage ditch on hole #17. Rumor has it that the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending the cart over the edge. As we played 17 yesterday, I noticed that people had placed flowers at the spot where the accident occurred … very sad indeed.
And since this seems to be a “bad news” kind of day, did I tell you that my car broke? As Alex was driving it home from Lulu’s last Friday he noticed a strange engine noise and decided to pull over. He called his friend Zac, a mechanic, who came over and discovered that the oil pressure line was leaking and that there was very little oil left in the engine! Well to make a long story short, my beloved SUV had to get towed and is now in the repair shop – but as it turns out, the problem was a recall item so it won’t cost me anything! Whew!
