Happy April Fools Day!

Aloha, peeps!

It’s the first day of April, also known as April Fool’s Day!  I already pulled a good one on Carla by telling her that our sewer line broke – her face took on a look of total panic until I said “April Fool’s!”, after which she gave me the familiar one-fingered salute!  Hahaha!  So you guys better be on your guard today … never know who’s gonna pull a fast one on you!

We performed for several hundred attendees at the HawTel Federal Credit Union’s annual gathering last night over at the Hilton.  It was quite a production and featured this awesome magician from Europe (whose name I can’t remember or pronounce).  One of his tricks consisted of bowls of water which kept spilling over on to the stage, which normally wouldn’t have concerned me except it was right in the area where we were supposed to perform!  I had visions of us standing on this wet stage with all our electrical equipment when all of a sudden – ZZZZAP!! – mega shock therapy!  Everything turned out fine, however, and the performance went on without a hitch …

Since we had some time to kill before our show, the boys and I went to Round Table Pizza in the Hilton’s shopping area to grab a bite to eat.  We ordered two large pizzas – a regular pepperoni and some sort of Italian garlic whatever – along with some wings and beers.  The pizza was pretty good (kinda hard to make a bad one) but the wings sucked.  It had the taste and texture of frozen wings that were heated up in a microwave – very bland and soggy, even though we ordered them spicy.  Prices weren’t cheap either, but I guess you have to expect it when you’re eating at a resort.

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Aloha, “D”
