Aloha kakahiaka, peeps!

No rest today, folks … got Andie’s birthday party this morning and then a gathering this afternoon for some friends who are getting married.  Nick was at our house early this morning (I think around 5am!) to start gathering stuff for Andie’s party … I was still passed out and didn’t get up until around 7 or so.  I don’t think we’ll even have time to walk the puppies … uh oh, they’re gonna be pissed!

We had a nice time at the Honolulu Festival yesterday, performing twice at the convention center.  We played around noon during the cultural fair and then in the evening for the Friendship Gala.  I always enjoy watching the different performers from around the Pacific … always so colorful and entertaining!  We ran into our pal, Pele Reiko, who was backstage working her “magic” with her laptop … she was actually still smiling even after being there all day!  The Friendship Gala is the festival’s fundraising event featuring great food, drink, and of course, entertainment, and I always bump into many of my friends who come to support this wonderful event.  Mahalo to the festival committee for allowing ManoaDNA to participate again, and we hope to see you all very soon!

Whoooo … it’s pouring rain outside!  Sure hope it doesn’t put a damper on Andie’s party.  Gotta go get ready now …

Aloha, “D”
