Vegas

Aloha, everyone!

The boys & I are in Las Vegas for a little R&R and also to celebrate their birthdays.  This has become a tradition of sorts ever since they turned 21 yrs. old and is strictly boys-only.  It’s been non-stop since we landed and I’m already starting to feel a little tired since I don’t sleep very well in hotels.  The weather’s been pretty nice, though …  cold, but clear and sunny.    We started off the morning with breakfast at Hash House a Go-G0, a place we saw on the Travel Channel which serves enormous portions food.  Check out the photo of my pork tenderloin Benedict – awesome!  That evening we decided to hang on the Strip and had dinner at the City Center – what a HUGE place!  It really is like a miniature city with hotels, shopping, dining, and offices and condos – very modern and sort of reminds me of Tokyo.  After we were done, we walked over to the Bellagio and Caesar’s Palace.  We checked out the atrium in the Bellagio … the flowers and decor were stunning!  Many of the lobby decorations featured the Chinese New Year with dragons and stuff … pretty nice!

We’re going to head downtown today … maybe do a little shopping at the Premium Outlets Mall.  Probably hit Main Street Station’s Triple 7 pub first … great brewskies and their sushi and fish & chips are awesome!

Aloha, “D”
