KZOO radio …

‘Morning, everyone!

I’m off to another early morning meeting in a few minutes so this will be short.  Got a full day of meetings before the boys and I head down to the KZOO satellite studio in Shirokiya at the Ala Moana Center for a 5:30pm interview.  I’m curious to see what their setup is in the store – I’ve heard that shoppers can watch you doing the interview so I guess I’ll have to look decent.  No shorts, t-shirt, and slippahs this time … rats!

I went to my doctor for a check-up yesterday and there was good news and bad news – the good news is that all my key body indicators are good and my blood pressure is back to normal.  The bad news is that I still have a virus and sure enough, last night I started sneezing like no tomorrow and now my sinuses are totally blocked!  Luckily I started taking medication right away and it seems to be keeping the symptoms from getting worse.  I think I got a relapse of the virus which I got back in November during our last Japan trip and never fully recovered.   Well, at least I don’t have that awful cough and laryngitis … yet!

I had some pau hana at the original Side Street Inn last night with my good friend Reiko, and found another dish that I’m adding to my favorites list – Chinese-style crispy skin roast pork!  Those little bits of pork with the crunchy, crispy skin are so awesome!  Be sure to tell ’em that you want the skin extra crispy and I guarantee you’ll LOVE it!  As we were leaving I ran into friend and fellow musician Sonny Lim who was there having dinner with his family after flying in from Japan earlier in the day.   Nice to see you, Sonny .. hope you ordered the crispy pork!

If you guys are in Waikiki tomorrow from 5-8pm, come on down to the Hyatt Waikik poolside for some great drinks, food, and of course, music by  ManoaDNA!

Aloha, “D”
