KITV this morning ….

Good morning, friends!

It’s another early Monday morning and I can’t believe it – we ran out of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee!  What the .. ?!!  I found a bag of Starbuck’s French Roast beans so I ground them up and brewed a pot … strong, but not as good as DD.  We have an early appearance on KITV’s morning show today, so my day is really starting early!  I’ve got a couple meetings afterward, a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon, and then a couple of more meetings after that.  This week is going to be a killer because we’ll be busy promoting our annual “Boys & Their Toys” toy drive concert happening this Saturday down at Gordon Biersch from 5:30 to 8:00pm.  It’s free and all we’re asking is that everyone bring a toy(s) to donate to the USMC’s “Toys For Tots” program.  We’ll be giving away lots of great stuff courtesy of our partners at Hawaiian Air, Hyatt, Sheraton, JTB, Oakley, and others.  Entertainment will be provided by our friends, Herb Ohta Jr. and Jon Yamasato, and the awesome Brother Noland … and of course, yours truly!  So come on down and help us bring a little joy to those less fortunate …

In addition to Saturday,  we’ll also be performing at two other venues – Wednesday, at the Hyatt Regency poolside from 5-8pm, and Friday at the Honolulu Club for a private party.

And before I sign off, I’d like to bid a fond aloha to two very special people who passed away last week – Bill Kaiwa and Bill Tapia.  These two guys were not only great musicians, bu were great human beings too – they will be missed.

Aloha, “D”
