It’s 5:30am on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, and for some reason I woke up really early this morning. Mornings are my favorite time of day … it’s cool, quiet, and the perfect time to relax and reflect about what’s going on in my life. It always comes down to what are my priorities, and the answer is always the same; family, health, and friends – period. So on this special day, as I sit here sipping a hot mug of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, I want to wish you all good health and may you and your families all have a happy & safe Thanksgiving!
Our house is now starting to stir … the puppies are awake and about to go nuts, while Carla & Linda are starting to get the kitchen ready for a day of cooking turkeys and other goodies. I’m probably going to go work out a bit this morning and then come home to help with any last minute preparations before our guests arrive … in other words, stay out of everyone’s way! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Thanksgiving Day also means gathering around the boob tube and watching football, both NFL and college. Ahhh .. I love this day! I also picked a lot of avocados from our tree yesterday so everyone will be able to take some home tonight along with tons of leftovers (and hangovers!) …
IOLANI will be closed today but will resume normal store hours tomorrow, Friday, at 10am. You’ll definitely want to check out Lulu’s tomorrow night for Alex’s solo live with Mark & Seann. I guarantee you’re gonna love these guys! ManoaDNA is back at Kani Ka Pila this Saturday for what will probably be its last performance there for 2011, so I hope you all can make it down.
Have a great Thanksgiving Day, my friends!
