Emails, emails, and more emails!!

Hi everyone,

I swear, I must spend my entire morning sending and replying to emails!  Man, they just seem to multiply right before my very eyes!  The mail traffic is especially heavy now since we leave for Japan next week with Project Aloha and I have a lot of loose ends to tie up before that.  My emails tend to be short and cryptic (unlike my blogs! haha!) and I can’t stand it when people’s emails go on and on like a bad novel.  It’s like asking someone for the time and they describe how the watch was built!  (Quit yer bitchin’, Lloyd … more information is better than no information!)

We performed last night for the Punahou trustee’s reception over at the Pacific Club.  It was another beautiful night under the stars and it was great to see a lot of our friends and former classmates and teachers there.  Afterward, the boys and I headed over to Tsukuneya to grab a bite to eat before heading home.  We all ordered the char siu ramen (noodle soup w/ pork) along with some avocado and shrimp salad, fried cheese, and a sizzling platter of tonkatsu (pork filet).  I forgot about those little bits of red chili in the ramen soup and ended up sweating a bit … but it was sooooo good!  After eating way too much I headed home, showered, planted myself in front of the TV, and immediately went off to Dreamland …. zzzzzzzzzz!  Sound familar???

I want to thank everyone who’s been visiting our IOLANI on Kona Street store lately.  I know some of you wanted to see me and I apologize if I wasn’t able to be there when you came.  We’ve been very fortunate to have such great support from all of you, especially during these very tough economic times, and I hope to see you all again very soon!  Mahalo!

Aloha, “D”
