Victory is mine!

The “Great Jet Lag Battle” is all but over … my sleep schedule is almost back to normal and I no longer feel like I’m in La La Land.  It should only take about another day or two and I’ll be back to 100%!  My recovery period this time seems shorter than the one after our July summer tour, but that’s probably because this trip was a little shorter.  Whatever the reason, I’m just glad that I’m starting to feel normal again!  But it’s not over yet … ManoaDNA heads back up to Japan in two weeks as part of a goodwill delegation to Iwaki City in Fukushima and Sendai in Miyagi.  Dubbed “PROJECT ALOHA”, this effort will be lead by former Hawai’i sumotori Jesse “Takamiyama” Kuhaulua and Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi.  I’m really looking forward to this trip because it’s another opportunity for us to give back to the people of Japan for all that they’ve done for us …

Last night I went down to Lulu’s to watch Alex do another solo live performance.  With a solid backline of Mark (bass) and Seann (drums), Alex is creating a great new musical style and personality of his own.  I really recommend that you guys go check him out … his trio is called AK and the Sunshine, but I think they ought to call themselves AK and the Lefties since all three are left-handed!

MDNA is back on stage tonight at Kani Ka Pila Grille … our first appearance since returning from Japan.  Come on down and join the party .. you might even witness a “jet lag” moment!  Hahaha!

Aloha, “D”
