Good morning! ManoaDNA makes a return appearance at Gordon Biersch in the Aloha Tower Marketplace tonight (7pm – 10:30pm) after a 3-year absence. With Seann on drums and Alex on his Strat (electric guitar), it’ll be fun to cut loose and “stretch our legs”! But before that, I’ll be hitting the links with my Thursday degenerates over at WCC. Not sure how my shoulder will hold up, but hey – no pain, no gain! Plus, I’m still a little sore from the Boot Camp class on Tuesday so I hope my buddies will take pity and allow me a few extra strokes! Doubt it!
Our dear friends, the Taguchis, are in town and I’ll probably see them at our IOLANI on Kona St. store this morning. They’re from Yokohama and always take such good care of us whenever we go to Japan. They’re avid golfers too, and while having lunch with them in Tokyo last year, they kept telling me about their favorite brand of golf clubs they both use … which was all very nice except they couldn’t recall the brand! Major brain fart! It was hilarious as they struggled to remember what brand of clubs they owned and got so frustrated that we ended up walking all around Tokyo looking for a golf store! What a great relief when we finally found one in the Ginza which carried their beloved XXIO (huh?), which is a very popular golf brand in Japan.
Have a great day, everybody!
