Labor Day Weekend

‘Morning … dragging a little since we had a bit too much merriment at Tsukuneya last night after the C&K concert.  I can’t remember whether I posted a blog yesterday, but just checked and saw that I didn’t .. sorry!  Anyway, I did play golf on Thursday with my fellow degenerates at WCC and my shoulder held up pretty well until the last few holes.  I think I need to go see the doctor now since my shoulder’s making all sorts of weird cracking and popping noises every time I move it a certain way.  Damn … I hope he doesn’t recommend surgery because I HATE needles!

Yesterday we were visited by a group of business school students and their teachers from Hakuoh University in Japan.  Their school is located in Tochigi Prefecture which is located north of Tokyo near Fukushima  They wanted to visit a couple of Hawai’i businesses while here and chose IOLANI as their first stop.  We took them on a tour through our factory and shared some of our company’s history and business philosophies with them.  I think they really enjoyed themselves because they ended up staying way past their scheduled time … my apologies to Brian & the KoAloha Ukulele gang for screwing up the schedule!

It was a fun night as ManoaDNA opened for C&K last night over at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  The concert was on the huge lawn next to the lagoon and the promoters couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting!  The crowd was loud, the beer was ice cold, and the sky was filled with stars … priceless!  Plus, this was one of the few times that Alex was able to play his Strat and he totally rocked the crowd!  We will be back again tonight for a hana hou

Go Warriors!!!

Aloha, “D”
