Aloha, everybody! We arrived safely in Osaka via Shinkansen the other night and performed at the Daimaru Dept. Store yesterday. The atmosphere here in Osaka is a little different from Tokyo … since there is no power shortage, there are bright neon lights everywhere and the shops and restaurants are packed. We’re staying in the Shinsaibashi area which kinda reminds me of Waikiki except on a much larger scale. People here don’t seem as concerned about the ongoing radiation crisis as the people in Tokyo, but there is great concern for the victims in the Tohoku region.
We have two more performances before we catch the train to Hiroshima tonight. I’m really looking forward to going to Hiroshima since we’ll be seeing our relatives after tomorrow’s show. Unfortunately, we’ll only have time for a brief visit since we leave for Fukuoka later that afternoon.
I took tons of photos and am trying to figure out how I can share some of them with you guys. Trying to do it with this app on my iPad is a real pain … no worries, though – I’ll figure it out after I get back home.
Aloha, “D”
Dad, Nice & Alex,
Thank you for your beautiful voices and musics in Shinsaibashi Daimaru Dpt. Store.
I and my husband really enjoyed your performances. My hus liked “hoo-hoo” dance(?). ha-ha-ha
I hope you enjoy Japan tour safely and have a good time with your relatives in Hiroshima.
Again, thank you very much for your BIG ALOHA!
Mahalo for your nice message … please take care and hope to see you on our next trip! Aloha,
