Wow… it got so cold in Manoa last night that we had to sleep with an extra blanket! It’s now 5:30am and I’m sitting here with a steaming cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee enjoying the quiet stillness of a very cold morning … brrrrrr!  Of course, what we call cold here is nothing compared to the c0ld temperatures on the mainland and elsewhere … lucky we live Hawai’i!!
The holiday partying has started. After our usual Thursday round of golf, we all gathered at our friend Buzzy’s home along with our spouses for a little post-golf holiday merriment. It was potluck, so everyone brought some kind of salad, appetizer, entree, or dessert. If you haven’t experienced a potluck in Hawai’i, you’re in for a real treat … we had sashimi, scallops, lobster, ribs, steak, minute chicken w/ cake noodle, yakisoba, and many other dishes I can’t even remember! We had so much fun eating, drinking, and laughing the night away … yes, the holiday season is in full swing!
Aloha, “D”
