Ugh, I’m sick!

Aloha, everyone!  Well, my body finally crashed Saturday night … it started with some minor body ache and then full-blown coughing and congestion on Sunday.  Although I stayed in bed all day yesterday, I’m still feeling pretty lousy this morning.  I’m going to see the doctor today if possible … I have to get better before we leave for Japan next week!  Lucky thing the NFL football season started yesterday so I could watch games on the TV all day yesterday.  Also watched Michelle Wie blow a 3-shot lead and lose by 1 stroke in the Arkansas LPGA tournament … bummer!  After the NFL games were over, I watched one of my favorite movie series, the Lord of the Rings, particularly the episode “Return of the King”.  It’s amazing how those little Hobbitt characters are actually normal sized actors in real life.

I did manage to play golf on Saturday morning and had an amazing start – 3 birdies on the first 4 holes!  I thought it was going to be a stellar round until I took a triple bogey and double bogey on holes 5 & 6!  It was pretty much mediocre after that and I struggled to finish with an 85 … pretty boring.  I was starting to feel unusually tired in the later rounds, so that may have been the onslaught of whatever virus I’m fighting now …

Kani Ka Pila that night was soooo much fun … so different from Friday night at Lulu’s.  It was a great crowd and the energy was electrifying.  I want to thank all of you who came down to see us at both Lulu’s and KKPG this past weekend … you guys are the best!  And as I always tell my boys, “without an audience, it’s just one big rehearsal!”.

Aloha, (sniff, sniff, cough, cough)  “D”

    • Hi Susan,
Yeah, this one’s a doozie … lots and lots of body ache and fever. My fever finally broke last night, but I’ll see if it returns today. Should be able to at least stand up on Friday!

    Aloha DAD!
    I’m worried about your condition.
I can’t see you when you’ll come to Japan,as I’ll go to Hawai’i(unfortunately! Bad timing),
but I wish you become better as soon as possible!

    • Hi Noriko-san,
I’m slowly getting better so I should be fine by the time I go to Japan next week. I’m sorry that we won’t be able to see each other since you will be in Hawai’i!
