Good morning! Sorry I missed my blog yesterday .. got too busy and was too tired to write anything last night. Anyway, lots happening with IOLANI and MDNA. First the store – we had a private reception on Thursday night for the tour & hotel industry which turned out to be a really nice event! Mahalo to all of our friends and family who worked their butts off until late at night helping us prepare for the evening, and for the beautiful bouquets of flowers that many of you sent! We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful love and support! Mahalo! Also want to send special thank yous out to Side Street Inn (outstanding job, guys!), to Kale and Lanakila for providing the great music, to Sarah, our event coordinator, and to Granto for providing security. Whew … good fun, but I’m glad it’s over!
Spent most of yesterday cleaning up the office after the reception and also had a couple of meetings later in the day. We didn’t perform at Lulu’s last night, but instead did a short segment for K5’s Hot Hawaiian Nights down at the Hale Koa Hotel’s Barefoot Bar along with Hoku Zuttermeister. It was very crowded and a lot of fun, although I struggled with my pitch in the beginning. Mahalo to Misa, Mina, Miwa, Pal, Herman, Kay, Trish, Yoshiaki, Aiko, Zac, Lauren, Pat, Makoto, Takashi, Kylie, and all the rest for coming down to join us!
