Yup – it’s Thursday which means only one thing .. GOLF!! My wrist is still sore, but what the hell .. no pain, no gain! Anyway, it’s a beautiful day, and since they’ll be finishing the floors in our new IOLANI store, we can’t stay in our offices because of the smell. You guys HAVE to see the store when it’s finished … it’s going to be soooo awesome!
Had lunch at Mariposa yesterday with my good friend, Wayne Miyao. I’d like to send a big mahalo out to him and to Mariposa g.m. Duane Kawamoto for the wonderful food and company! Duane sent us an interesting salad appetizer – a crostini cover with greens, asparagus spears, and topped off with a sunny side-up egg! Very unusual, but soooooo ono!!
ManoaDNA performed out at the Kualoa Ranch on the windward side of O’ahu yesterday, and I gotta tell you … that place is definitely heaven on earth! My buddy John Morgan and his ohana have done such a great job of creating an oasis for tourists to come and experience a part of Hawai’i that no other place can duplicate. It was so awesome to watch the sun set behind the majestic Ko’olau mountains as we performed … I really do miss the beauty and serenity of that side of the island!

Yeah .. I don’t get out to that side of the island very often, but when I do, it’s such a refreshing change from the chaos of Honolulu!
