Sorry guys … totally forgot about yesterday’s posting! We were up early recording promotional videos for Japan and for our new EVOLUTION CD, and missed my morning coffee and blog. As usual, we had to do a lot of takes before we finally got it right but I thought the “out-takes” (mistakes) were the best parts! I think we should keep them and make a “Funniest Home Videos” one day!
Well I was right – lightning doesn’t strike twice! I shot a terrible score during my Thursday round of golf, and lost to my arch rival again! I thought I was going to duplicate my previous week’s score of 79 but instead couldn’t hit the ball to save my life! Oh well .. I guess what comes up must come down! The day ended on a high note, though, as we all enjoyed some great food & sake at the 19th hole!
It was another fun evening at Lulu’s last night with many friends and family in attendance. There was even a group of hula dancers from Japan who stopped in Honolulu on their way home after attending the Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo. They got up and danced with my sister Pat to Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai … very cool! And speaking of “cool”, it was COLD yesterday! What’s up with that?!
This will be our last weekend of Lulu’s and Kani Ka Pila for a while … at least till June. We are getting ready to leave for Japan in a week and will be gone for most of May. After we return, we start preparing for the release of our new CD, EVOLUTION, and also to kick off the Wildest Show In Town series of concerts at the Honolulu Zoo on June 9th. I’ll still be blogging every day (I hope!) while we’re on the road so stay tuned!
