We were up at 4:30am this morning to do a TV promotion for the upcoming Ukulele Picnic on Saturday, Feb. 13th, at the Kakaako Waterfront Park. This is the 2nd year that Southern All-Stars’ bassist, Kazuyuki Sekiguchi, and his Ukulele Foundation of Hawai’i have put this concert on in Hawai’i, although it’s been an annual event in Japan for the last 10 years or so. Sekiguchi-san is really a great guy and is very dedicated to making his dream of an ukulele museum a reality for everyone. The Ukulele Picnic is a great event and I hope you all will come out and support it!
I’m a little tired from our early start so I’m going to try and get some rest this afternoon before going into the recording studio later tonight. As usual, we have another extremely busy week with studio recordings, performances, and photo shoots. Whew!
Aloha, “D”
