It’s the weekend!!

Hope you guys are having a great Saturday morning!  I’m dragging a little after performing at Lulu’s last night … as usual, it was another fun night!  You never know what to expect at that place – one minute it’s dead and the next it’s packed and jumping.  Our friends, Yutaka and Yuriko, excited the crowd with some beautiful hula, and we kept it going with our mix of island music ManoaDNA-style!  During our rendition of LOVE THE ONE YOU’RE WITH and SUITE JUDY BLUE EYES, the crowd started chanting “HEY” during the song’s chorus which really sounded kinda neat!  If you happen to be at one of our performances when they start doing it, please feel free to join in!

Also, thank you to everyone who gave me advice for my injured shoulder, but I can’t do acupuncture because I’m terrified of needles, and natural mineral baths are too hot!  When we were at the Owari Onsen in Nagoya, I tried using the ashi-yo and nearly burned both my feet off!  I guess I’ll just try to rest my shoulder for a couple of more weeks before trying other suggested remedies …

Anyway, I’m about to leave to go golfing with my buddies at Waialae so I’ll sign off.  I’m sorry, but we won’t be at Kani Ka Pila tonight since we’ll be performing at a private function right here in Manoa.  We will be back at Lulu’s and Kani Ka Pila next weekend, but then we’re off for most of the month of July.  Have a great day and be good …
