It’s the first day of August, and looks to be another warm and humid day here in paradise.  I’ve been watching a lot of the Olympics lately, and was thrilled to see the U.S. women’s gymnastic team win the gold yesterday!  I’m always exhausted after watching the gymnastics competition … probably because it’s so dramatic and every little movement counts in the scoring.  If you want to see how the parents of these kids handle the stress, check out the YouTube video of Aly Raisman’s parents reacting to her routine on the uneven parallel bars … it’s hilarious!  Very close to what my favorite golf commentator, David Feherty, used to describe the tension during the final round of a major championship, “… like watching a blind man chase a balloon along a cliff!”

Gotta run … early meeting at the office.  Hope I have time to grab a Starbuck’s on the way …
