Good morning, friends!
Well, San Francisco’s magical playoff journey came to an end yesterday as the NY Giants defeated the 49ers 20-17 in overtime. The Giants now go on to play the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5th. The Patriots defeated the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 when the Raven’s kicker missed an easy game-tying field goal. Would sure hate to be in that guy’s shoes right now … he’ll probably have to change his identity and leave the country! Hahaha!
My friend Gregg came over to watch the game with us and brought hamburgers and dim sum … interesting combination, huh? So along with a couple of bottles of wine, we sat back and enjoyed a great afternoon of football. I got the biggest laugh out of the E-Trade commercial with the little baby that talks like an adult … hilarious! I also liked the dis-jointed DirectTV commercial because it sort of reminded me of how our legal and political processes always end up. The commercial is about a guy who tries to do a simple task (call his cable company) and after a series of seemingly logical events, somehow ends up being beaten and thrown into a roadside ditch … how bizarre is that?! Remind you of anything??
ManoaDNA kicks off 2012 with a full schedule this week … we’ll be at the Hyatt Waikiki on Wednesday, Lulu’s on Friday, and KKPG on Saturday. Here we go again …
Aloha, “D”
