It’s Aloha Friday!

Aloha kakahiaka!

Another cool and quiet morning here in the valley … it’s so early that the birds aren’t even up yet!  Our dogs are, though, and they’ve already been fed and will probably start bugging the girls for their morning walk pretty soon.  We’re also watching the KHON morning news since ManoaDNA did a recording at IOLANI to help promote the Lokahi fundraiser tomorrow at the Ala Moana Center.  I’m kinda cringing a bit because I know I hit a few bad notes during the taping yesterday … oh well, that’s what happens when you try to sing too early in the morning!  Must’ve been all the galas in the throat! (I know Carla is probably thinking, “that’s gross!” .. hahaha!)

After shooting one of the worst rounds of golf on Sunday (101), I managed to get back on track yesterday with a score of 83.  Although it rained intermittently during most of the round, it really didn’t affect our play too much – in fact it kept everything nice and cool, although a little muddy.  Our Thursday group was missing one of our key members yesterday – he’s in the hospital and had back surgery yesterday to remove an infected disc.  Doctors did it to prevent the infection from spreading since they were having trouble controlling it with medication.  I hope you have a quick and complete recovery, my friend … we miss the false cracks and glasses of KJ with you at the 19th!

And on that note, I’ll sign off for now … you all have a wonderful Aloha Friday and weekend!

Aloha, “D”
