Hey everybody!
Woke up this morning and it was freezing! Must be in the low 60s here in Manoa … even the puppies don’t want to get out of bed! Whoops, I was wrong – they’re hungry so here comes the stampede! Get out of the waaaay! I love this time of year – the mornings are crisp and the air just smells clean & fresh … what a great way to start the day! I’ve got some meetings today and then our family is going Christmas tree shopping after IOLANI closes. I’m not really fond of tree shopping (actually, I dislike any kind of shopping except for golf or music equipment!) but I really enjoy the aroma of the pine trees. It immediately reminds me of my small kid days when I’d often fall asleep by the tree while staring up at the twinkling lights and ornaments. There was something very magical and special about those moments and the smell of the trees immediately takes me back to those times … sigh!
I stopped by GRYLT last night to pick up some dinner. Got some grilled salmon, a surf n’ turf kabob, and a grilled romaine salad with chicken … good stuff! Everything is freshly made and come with several side options, with the most interesting being the mashed cauliflower … now I know a lot of you are thinking “yuck!” but hey, don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it. It’s actually pretty good, especially since it’s mixed with olive oil and other seasonings.
Hey, I just looked at my calendar and tomorrow is the first day of December! That means Christmas and New Years are just around the corner! Damn .. the year went by fast, didn’t it?
Aloha, “D”
wow, is that much cold? I’m going to stay in Manoa this weekend 😮
