Flashbacks ….

Aloha, peeps!  It’s another “Mid-Week Wednesday” and I’ll bet you’re starting to think about what to do this upcoming weekend.  ManoaDNA has another full schedule of performances this week starting tomorrow with a taping of KHON’s “Cool Corona Concerts” over at the Hard Rock Cafe.  We also have special engagements on Friday and Saturday so we won’t be performing at Lulu’s or Kani Ka Pila this weekend.  I want to sincerely apologize to many of our visitor fans who are unable to see ManoaDNA perform during their visit because we’re either on the road or at another engagement.

Yesterday was my mom & dad’s wedding anniversary so we sent my mom a bouquet of red roses, her favorite.  I can remember from when I was a kid that my dad would always send my mom roses on their anniversary … that is, whenever he could remember! :-)  And even though my dad is gone, we still like to help her celebrate their special day!

I took my good friend from Japan, Shioji-san, golfing yesterday afternoon at Waialae.  This was his first time at WCC and although he struggled at times, there were moments of brilliance.  He shot a 104 which was 2 shots better than what our other good friend, Ichikura-san, shot a couple of weeks ago!  The amazing thing about Shioji-san is how much beer he drank out on the course … I mean, he must’ve had 6 or 7 including a couple before we teed off!  It must’ve relaxed his swing or something because he shot 2-over for the final 4 holes!  hahaha!

I’m off to a meeting at IOLANI … take care and have a great day!!

Aloha, “D”
