Relaxing Sunday …

Hey, peeps … wassup?!!  Actually, I’m going to be pretty busy today … got squash at 9am, then have to run some errands before coming home to do some stuff.  We had our last couple of performances yesterday at the Iolani Fair and the Kani Ka Pila Grille for a while.  We leave on our Japan tour next week and will be gone for most of the month of May, and probably won’t be performing here again until June … man, that seems so far away!!

Anyway, the Iolani Fair was a blast but the best thing about it was that our old pal, Fred Lee, was doing the sound.  Fred and I go back many years to when we used to gig together at Kincaid’s, and this guy is awesome on the wind synthesizer.  But this guy is one of the best sound guys around today .. he has great equipment and he knows how to use it!  After we were done, we headed on over to the Kani Ka Pila Grille for our regular Saturday gig and as usual, we had a great time!  The positive energy from the Iolani Fair right over to KKPG and we lit the place up … everyone was having fun and there were people dancing among the tables and in the lobby area!  Yes, it was a great way to end our week …

Big mahalos to Pohai, Pat, and Sarah, for their awesome hula … also to Misa, Shion, Sae, Ric, Denise, Linda, Tessa, and all the rest of our friends for coming down to support us!

Aloha, “D”
