Good morning! We have a couple of days off while Alex is off on Spring Break with his pals, so I’m just trying to catch up on all the stuff that I’ve been ignoring for the last few months! Don’t get me wrong .. we still have to finish up our new CD before the end of the month and continue preparations for our upcoming Japan tour, but at least we now have a tiny bit of breathing room. But there’s no break for poor Nick – not only must he tend to MDNA business, but he also has to finish up his work on the new IOLANI store which is scheduled to open on June 1st … the week after we get back! He’s doing a great job, though …
It was great to stay in and have dinner at home last night .. even though it was Thai take-out! We’ve been so busy recording, rehearsing, or performing recently that it was so nice to be able to spend a quiet evening at home! Our kupuna are always so kind .. providing us with timely periods of rest so that we can recharge and refocus ourselves.
I meet with my monthly golf club, SELOHSSA (spell it backwards :-)), over at Side Street Inn tonight. Since I’m president this year, I and my fellow officers and chairpersons are meeting to go over our club’s events for 2010. By the way, Side Street Inn is located in the IOLANI building on Kona St., next to Ala Moana Center.  They have one other smaller location, but this is the original one and it’s the best! If you’re ono for some great local grinds, come on down!!
