Welcome all to another gorgeous morning here in Manoa Valley! Because there are no tradewinds and the air is very still, I could actually hear the roosters crowing way up in the valley near the old Paradise Park earlier! And since I’m golfing later this morning with my Selohssa group out at the Pearl Country Club, it’s probably going to be a real scorcher since there’s no wind today. I don’t know what it is about that course but I always shoot lousy scores! (yeah sure, Lloyd .. blame it on the course!) If I shoot good today, you’ll hear about it … if not, don’t ask!
Well just as I thought, our beloved UH Warriors got KILLED by #4 ranked Boise State in football last night 54-9!! The boys went to the game with a bunch of their friends and left at halftime when the score was already 44-0 … well, at least they had fun at the tailgate party!
I took Carla to dinner last night at Hoku’s at the Kahala Hotel for her birthday, and we had a very nice time. I really like that hotel since it’s away from the craziness of Waikiki and the restaurants are usually very good. It was nice to see the restaurant busy, especially since a lot of places are hurting because of the poor economy.
The puppies have gone for their morning walk with the girls, so the house is finally quiet! Ahh … peace at last!!
Aloha, The “:D”
