Radio Report – Health Bar

So I discovered the Health Bar a couple of years ago but kind of forgot about it until a couple of weeks ago. Now I go allllll the time! The Health Bar is located on Monsarrat Avenue by Diamond Head and it is a cool little restaurant that serves healthy foods daily. I usually get either the Acai Bowl, or the Ahi Wrap. Both are sooooooo good and I could eat them every day! The pictures below are of my Acai bowl.
If you are in town and want to try some good tasting health food, please stop by the Health Bar and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Radio Report – Swap Meet

Just went to the swap meet at Aloha Stadium and it was so much fun! I made sure to take as many pictures as I could to try and cover our top 5 countdown on our radio show so please check out all my pictures!
There are so many different things to buy there that I can’t remember all of them but what I originally went there for was to buy some art. To my surprise I did not buy any art but instead I bought a rice bag shirt, some food, and a hat…I don’t know why but I couldn’t find the right piece of art for me.

Go down to the swap meet because it is awesome!!! Just look at the pictures below and you’ll see why I had so much fun!

Radio Report – UH Sports

A group of friends and I love to go to all of the University of Hawaii sporting events no matter what season it is. I am a UH football season ticket holder and I try to go to as many other games as possible whether it be volleyball, basketball, or baseball. It is baseball season now and if I’m not playing music, I attend all the games I can! We are pretty good this year so it is really fun to go and get some cheap beer and cheap food and just have a good old fashion time out at the ball park.
We met some people from Australia the other day so it is not uncommon for tourists to visit a game. If you are coming to town, please check out one of the games or look to see what other sports are playing at UH.

Radio Report – Level 4

Aloha DNAers!
My report for this weeks radio show was on Level 4 which is a nightclub right in the heart of Waikiki. It is located on the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and is open till the early hours of the morning. Friday is the day to go down there because that’s when everyone goes to hang out. It’s pretty cool because there are many different bars and a dance floor that you can get “jiggy” on! I don’t have any pictures yet because every time I go down there I always forget to take my camera!!
I’ll have pictures soon but if you can make it down there to Level 4, you are sure to have an AWESOME time!!

L&L Drive-Inn

As I reported on our “Discover Aloha” radio show, one of my favorite places to eat is L&L Drive-Inn. L&L, as it is known here in Hawai’i, is a franchised chain of plate lunch restaurants featuring delicious local food. My favorite from L&L is the garlic shrimp plate, which includes fried shrimp doused in garlic, macaroni salad and rice. DEEELICIOUS!

Anyway, as I reported on the show, I have eaten at L&L Drive-Inn all over the country, including Oregon and New York. Below is a picture from 2005, which features me, in New York City, making shaka signs like a true dude…
