I won’t be able to do my usual Thursday afternoon golf with my buddies
’cause we have to perform for a promotion at the Ala Moana Center this afternoon. I have no idea what it’s for, but it’s scheduled so I’m there. I picked up the new L.R. Baggs D.I. (connects my guitar to the sound system) and I’m excited to try it out! It has a small E.Q., tuner, and best of all, a DC input which means I’ll be able to use direct current instead of a battery! No more sudden distortion , “drop-outs”, or weird noises caused by weak batteries during a performance! Awesome!
Some of the girls from StudioRim Hawaii are coming down to IOLANI today to check out our women’s line. They’re emceeing the shows up in Sapporo the following week so hopefully we’ll see them in our stuff! IOLANI NO KA ‘OI!! Speaking of shows, we’re looking for some new hula song(s) to perform live, so I thought I’d ask you guys for some input … after all, you are the reason why we love to perform!

Add two parts rehearsal, one part Na Hoku award show, and one part sleepless nights, and you get a Nick cocktail!
What a fun and exciting week we had as we geared up for our performance on the Na Hoku Hanohano award show. If you didn’t see it, you can watch it via our homepage (sorry for the ads). Hopefully I can get it onto our youtube channel soon so there won’t be any commercials (that we don’t endorse).
Anyway, I have updated the schedule through August. It is gonna be a pretty busy one with our July trip up to Japan looking beefier and beefier everyday. I will keep you posted as to where and when you can find us, but otherwise, check back here often!
I’m gonna go take a nap.

It was a great week as we traveled around Japan. Thank you to all who came out and saw us and joined us in some fun train action!

Hope you guys had as much fun as we did and we hope to return soon!

A little windy, a little cold, but still a great show!

Thanks to Art & the whole gang down at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for all their hospitality. And of course, thank you again to the great people of Maui for their love and support! It was a great show and we had a great time!
