Well, I have been so busy with the newsletters, that I forgot to update all you fans out there in web-land! You have Susan Gordon to thank for setting me straight and getting my butt moving again! Thanks Susan, it was great to meet you last night at Gordon Biersch!

First of all, HAPPY 2008 EVERYONE!

Anyway, sorry again that I have been slacking, but the holidays got a little nuts. Here’s the latest 411 for all of you:
2008 Hawaii Music Awards: We were nominated for the “Adult Contemporary Album of the Year” category for the awards. I will post an update on that as soon as I can.
MySpace Updated: Our schedule has been updated, so go check that out and come down to one of our upcoming events.
Upcoming Events: We have a couple of major events coming up including Punahou Carnival & Twilight @ Kalahuipua’a on the Big Island. Check back as we finalize those details for more information.

Other than that, we are keeping busy at Gordon Biersch & Lulu’s weekly, so if you are in either of those neighborhoods, come and check us out!

Dateline: December 12th, 2007. Manoa DNA finishes HTJ Promo message & music video. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, we completed the raw shooting for our upcoming campaign with Hawaii Tourism Japan!

Thanks to the crew, Ron Ogi & Shogo Kubo, for their outstandin work yesterday. We hope you guys had as much fun as we did! Check back here for updates on the music video and promo video, as we should have it posted up here once it has been completed.

We were being broadcast live over the internet, for all the world to see, via alohavideo.tv and Pakele Live. This was a neat venue with a great sound system! Thanks to everyone down at the Pakele Lounge for all their Aloha! Check ‘em out at alohavideo.tv.

Other than that, we are happy to report that we have resumed our regularly scheduled programming! So, we hope to see you all down at one of our weekly gigs this holiday season!

Whew, what a year so far… Japan, Vegas, Hawai’i, West Coast, we’re exhausted. Thanks to all your support, Manoa DNA is becoming something of a phenomenon, and we are very greatful for all your Aloha! With that said, we are happy to be on a two week hiatus while we catch up on some needed rest and relaxation.

In the meantime, you can always tune into ManoaDNA.radio to listen to your favorite band and their tunes! Hopefully, I won’t slack off too much and leave you all waiting in vain (pun intended). Anyway, check out our new Picture Page, and check back often for some (much needed) website updates!

アコースティック・コンテンポラリー・ハワイアン・ミュージックで知られるマノアDNAが２枚目のCD「No Place Like Home」を10月16日にリリースしました。マノアDNAはロイド・カワカミと２人の息子（アレックスとニック）によるトリオで、新作CDはハワイという土地や人々をテーマに、耳に心地よい仕上りとなっています。

マノアDNAは、ハワイ州観光局の２００８年テレビCMのテーマ曲「Discover Aloha with Me」を歌っています。
このCDの発売を記念して11月4日（日）午後５時から、アロハタワー・マーケット・プレースのゴードン・ビヤーシュにて「No Place Like Home」リリース・パーティーが開催されます。当日はゲスト・アーティストとして、ライアテア・ヘルム、メルビン・リード、ホルナペ、アーニー・クルーズJr、ブルース島袋、ロイ・サクマのウクレレ・スーパー・ケイキなどの出演も予定されています。

I can’t understand it completely, but I do think it means that we’re awesome. Haha.
