February 2009 Update

February 1st, 2009

Happy February

Tis the month of love and we here at Manoa DNA headquarters would like to wish everyone a very happy February! Now I know many of you are preparing for Valentine’s day on the 14th and wondering what you could possibly do to make the day as special as possible? Well I’m here to let you in on a couple of special events we have planned for this month, that you could include in your festivities!

2/6: Punahou Carnival Keeping alive the annual tradition, Manoa DNA will once again be performing for our alma mater at the Hawaiian Plate Booth of the Punahou Carnival. Always surrounded by our friends and family, we look forward to this gig every year as it gives us a chance to give back to the place that gave us so much. Friday, 2/6/09, 7pm, Hawaiian Plate Booth of the Punahou Carnival

2/7: Twilight at Kalahuipua’a For those of you on the Big Island, or planning to take a trip there, we will be performing for the February installment of “Talk Story” with Danny Akaka. Set on the porch of the Eva Parker Woods house at the Mauna Lani resort, it is a completely free event hosted every month under lantern and full moonlight. Saturday, 2/7/09, 5:30pm, Eva Parker Woods House on the grounds of the Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island

2/14: Ukulele Picnic Alongside great entertainers from both Hawai’i & Japan, Manoa DNA will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in style!

Happy Holidays!

November 15th, 2008

Happy Holidays everyone! We hope you all enjoy these upcoming weeks as we prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know, here’s the part where you are expecting me to say “it seems like we were just having Christmas!,” but I’m not. We’re looking forward to having a couple of weeks off at the end of this month, gearing up for Christmas. It is a much needed break after a long summer!
Happy Holidays
Anyway, you might not see us around for a couple of weeks, but have no fear we will be back in December. Meanwhile, I will try to get some cool new stuff up on the website. Cross your fingers!

HTJ Campaign Shoot

September 11th, 2008

North Shore Photo Shoot

I have updated our photo album with pictures from last Fridays photo shoot. We (more like Dad) were out on the north shore shooting photo and video for Hawaii Tourism Japan’s upcoming campaign. They heavily featured our own “D,” so I had a lot of free time to shoot the beautiful day. Head on over to our photo album, and check out the great day of fun in the sun!

Coming to you live from the Na’alehu park in Punalu’u Hawai’i, this is your friendly band. We have arrived and I am currently walking the grounds checking out all the great booths.

They got everything from Hawaiian massage booths for the parents, to a waterslide for the kids. Not to mention all the great food!

If you are in and around the island, we invite you to come down and check it out. Were on at two o’clock, see you here!
