Good morning, peeps!  I’m baaaaack!!  The jet lag monster seems to have been kind to me … after hitting me pretty hard yesterday, I had a good night’s sleep and woke up early this morning feeling almost normal.  Now I’m sitting at my laptop with a steaming mug of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee while listening to the cool wind and rain showers blow through the valley … ahhhh, life doesn’t get much better than this!

Some thoughts on our very first solo tour … first of all, it was totally AWESOME!!!  The venues in Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo were all great, and the crowds were totally into the music and vibe … so much fun!  What always amazes me is how great the sound is no matter how big or small the venue.  I mean those sound technicians in Japan are so good that our sound checks take no more than 10-20 minutes max.  They dial us in so quickly and the sound is so fantastic that it totally blows me away … sure wish we had some of those guys here!  And the stage and lighting techs were just as good … very proficient and knowledgeable.  The only complaint I have is that some of the venues (including the green rooms) had heavy cigarette smoke residue which really bothered me … it wreaked havoc on my throat and sinus and gave me headaches.  And finally, the omiyage we received from our fans were amazing … everything you can imagine and then some!  They are the most loyal, most generous fans in the world and we will always do our very best to not disappoint them!

Aloha, “D”
