Aloha, Kamalei!

‘Morning, everyone!

Sarah Kamalei leaves for Japan today for an extended stay.  We’ll certainly miss her while she’s gone but she should do just fine … especially if there are a lot of good shopping malls in the area!  Aloha, Sarah … safe travels and please take care!  And don’t worry … we’ll make sure that mom & dad behave themselves while you’re gone! :-)  ManoaDNA will be going up to Hiroshima and Yokohama at the end of May/early June so I hope we get to see Sarah while we’re there.  And speaking of MDNA, I just found out that I won’t be able to join my Thursday golf degenerates this afternoon because we have an early setup time for a big private event at the Honolulu Zoo tonight … damn!  Oh well, it’s probably a good thing considering how badly I played this past weekend …

We’ll be back at Lulu’s tomorrow, Friday, at our usual time but will miss Kani Ka Pila on Saturday because we’ll be performing at the SPAM Jam on Kalakaua Ave. at 8:30pm.  And on Sunday, we’re at the Taste of the Nation event over on the Great Lawn at the Bishop Museum … another busy weekend ahead!  I might even try to join my Selohssa golf gang on Sunday morning for their monthly golf outing …

Hey, have any of you tried ZPizza over in Ward Centre?  I call it the “hippy” pizza joint because all their food is made with natural & organic ingredients, just like at Down to Earth.  I went there initially because they make pizzas with gluten-free dough which Carla & Linda can eat, but also ended up ordering a couple of slices of their regular pizza and some side dishes too.  Everything was really fresh and very tasty … the only thing that sucked was the parking.  As I was leaving the area, some lady in a minivan pulled into an intersection and suddenly stopped, blocking all the traffic so no one could move.  What the..?!  She looked like she was searching for something and probably dropped her cell phone or makeup brush … idiot.

Aloha, “D”
